Jacob Appleby is a Post-Bar Clerk at The Sentinel Firm, where he assists attorneys in the firm's Class Action Department. His interest in employment law began before law school while working at a plaintiff-side firm, where he communicated directly with prospective clients, gathered information concerning potential claims, and assisted attorneys in evaluating matters. That experience developed his interest in employment litigation and advocating on behalf of employees.
A native Angeleno, Mr. Appleby earned his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2026, where he was an Eminent Scholarship recipient and served as Managing Editor of the Ohio State Law Journal. During law school, he gained practical experience in litigation, investigations, and in-house commercial legal work. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University Bloomington, with minors in Spanish and History, and studied abroad at the Universitat de Barcelona.
Mr. Appleby sat for the July 2026 California Bar Examination and is currently awaiting results.
