Amelia Haney is an associate attorney in the Law and Motion Department and has a long-standing commitment to advocating alongside low-wage workers.
Prior to joining The Sentinel Firm, Ms. Haney spent over four years fighting for farmworker rights with a legal aid firm where she served as the directing attorney for the Central Valley region of the firm's Agricultural Worker Justice Program. There, Ms. Haney represented clients before state and federal courts seeking justice in matters involving wage theft, discrimination, human trafficking, workplace health and safety, and employer-provided housing. In addition, she also co-directed the Workers' Rights Clinic and clerked for the Fair Employment and Housing Clinic.
Ms. Haney holds a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, in Anthropology from Tufts University. She went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Davis School of Law, where she received recognition for her dedication to pro bono work and public interest law. Throughout law school, Ms. Haney followed her passion for workers' rights by representing employees before administrative agencies and supporting litigation on behalf of transnational migrant workers.
Ms. Haney is licensed to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Court for Eastern District of California.
